Frank earned his PhD at Texas A&M studying coastal geomorphology in 2011. He began his studies the day after he retired from a 35-year engineering and management career in the energy industry. After graduation, he remained at A&M as an instructor in the Geology Department. He retired again in 2015 to the beach but was soon volunteering teaching adult education classes on coastal processes. In 2020, he helped start the Dune Science Group to support coastal communities and property owners build, manage, and protect coastal dunes using the latest scientific and materials knowledge.
Founder and General Counsel
Ed is a practicing attorney with 49 years of experience concentrating in real estate, construction, business, and franchise law. He has been an active member of the Massachusetts and Florida bars since 1971. He also served as Special Counsel to the Massachusetts House of Representatives and interned for the Attorney General of Massachusetts. He is a graduate of Boston Latin School, University of Massachusetts, and Suffolk University Law School.
